Who is the certifying organisation?
We are affiliated with Emergency Services Training Institution (ESTI) who are a Registered Training Institution with the Pre Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) who will accordingly issue your FAR certificate. As a result, your certificate will be valid for 2 years.

Why complete our First Aid Response (FAR) Course?
There is a requirement under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 to have a sufficient number of First Aid Responders trained in the workplace.
Your employers specifically have a duty to provide first-aid materials/equipment at all places of work where working conditions require it.

What in particular can you expect to learn on the First Aid Response Course.
- Roles and responsibilities of the first aider.
- You will also have the confidence to provide treatment for the purpose of saving a persons life or treating any further life threatening injuries.
- At the end of the course you will be capable of coordinating first aid arrangements in the workplace or at home.
- You will learn about the employee and employers responsibilities with regards the health and safety legislation on first aid provision in the workplace
How long is a First Aid Response (FAR) course.
We will deliver the full course over 3 days with a 2 hour assessment/exam at the end. You can choose to attend one of our public courses at a selected location or alternatively we can conduct the course at a location of your choice and when the time suits you. What type of a certificate do I receive and how long is it valid for.
In order to be recognized by the HSA & PHECC as a First Aid Responder, you must complete a 3 day First Aid Responder course. After completing the course you will receive a certificate from the Pre Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC)
Two years after you completed the 3 day FAR course, you must complete a 2 day refresher course in order to validate your certificate as a First Aid Responder.
You must ensure that your certificate does not expire more than three months. If your certificate is more than three months out of date you must complete the 3 day First Aid Response (FAR) course.
